Join us for a virtual FREE DORTELL Power Hour on Wednesday, September 23 at 5:30 p.m. to support the commutation of EBC Inside Policy Fellow alum Dortell Williams. Together, we will urge Governor Newsom to commute his sentence and bring him home.

Dortell has been incarcerated for more than 36 years, and throughout those years he has dedicated himself to transformation, education, and being of service to others. As a 2022 EBC Inside Policy Fellow, he brought his lived experience and leadership directly into our work to help create a more just future. He has shown tremendous selflessness during his time inside, advocating for others both inside and out, including incarcerated youth, elders, survivors of abuse, unhoused people, and veterans. He has remained committed to his own personal growth and healing, earning multiple degrees and certificates while inside, and teaching and mentoring his peers.

Let's show our strength in numbers and support this push for Dortell's commutation! We hope to see you there!
