This is a virtual event
Join the #FreeAshleyNow team and our partners for a letter writing event for Ashley! We filled up the mailroom with our letters last time, and we're hoping to keep sending support. We'll be joined by Rafaela Uribe, a member of Ashley's legal team from the Center for Constitutional Rights, abolitionist organizer and writer Mariame Kaba, and Ky Peterson, who is a formerly incarcerated Black trans man and survivor. Ky was one of the first trans people inside a Georgia State prison to receive gender affirming care after Ashley won her first lawsuit in 2015.
This event will be the first in what we hope to be a series of events with guest speakers to boost their fundraising and do letter writing!
Accessibility: We will have two certified ASL interpreters, and automated zoom captions. Please let us know any other accessibility needs at freeashleydiamondnow@gmail.com.
