Gendered Perspectives of Bay Area Transit Celebration: “The Rosie Ride & Mixer”

Start: Saturday, September 28, 2024 1:45 PM

End: Saturday, September 28, 2024 6:00 PM

Join us for the culmination celebration of the “Gendered Perspectives of Bay Area Transit” event series with “The Rosie Ride & Mixer.” On September 28th, join the panelists, moderators, your fellow attendees and the general public for a mixer event on the ferry from San Francisco to Richmond followed by a brief program and special tour of the Rosie the Riveter World War II Home Front National Historical Park Visitor Center!

The event starts at 1:45pm at the San Francisco Ferry Terminal F2 by the Ferry Building and together we’ll take the 2:05pm ferry to Richmond during which attendees can mix and mingle.

Once in Richmond, we will have a brief program with special guests followed by time to explore the Rosie the Riveter Visitor Center to learn more about the pivotal role thousands of Bay Area women played in winning World War Two.

Afterwards there will be a break for refreshments before the attendees heading back to San Francisco catch the 5:15pm ferry west. We look forward to having you join us on this momentous occasion.

*Note while event participation is free, one-way ferry fare is $4.70.
