SunDay, September 21st, 2025, is a global day of action celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy. We’re celebrating and showcasing the ways Northampton and Easthampton and cities and towns and neighborhoods across the Connecticut River Valley are using solar and wind energy sources to power our lives without pollution.

Come meet our city climate and sustainability officers and learn about Electrify Northampton, Easthampton and other programs that can lower your energy costs to your pocketbook as well as to the earth. Presentations: Session 1, 1:30-2:00: Senator Jo Comerford, Representative Lindsay Sabadosa and Peter Wingate, Energy Director of Community Action Pioneer Valley. Session 2, 2:30-3:15: Ben Weil, Northampton CAPA Director, Carolyn Misch, Northampton Planning and Sustainability Director, Sophie Protano, Easthampton Sustainability Coordinator, and Beth Hooker, Smith College, "All the Geothermal You Cannot See".
