The pandemic is forcing gig workers to make less money than ever while risking their very lives and the lives of their families--yet companies that specialize in deliveries like UberEats, Instacart and Doordash have seen their business DOUBLE.
UberEats just lowered their minimum delivery amount from $4 to $3 and stopped paying surge on double orders during the pandemic. This means that without a tip, some delivery workers are seeing earnings as low as $3 for nearly 30 mins of work. Our demands are that delivery workers should be paid TWICE what they are making now on deliveries.
