Give a Public Comment at Royal Oak Zoning Board of Appeals Meeting
Start: Thursday, February 13, 2025•07:00 PM
Show your support for affordable housing at Royal Oak's Zoning Board of Appeals meeting TONIGHT. This 59-unit building—with 30 affordable units—proposed for a parking lot at 3rd Street and Knowles needs a parking variance in order to be built. Including the required 1.50 parking spaces per unit would add more than $1 million to the price tag, making it impossible for this project to include affordable housing. As proposed, 44 of the units will be one-bedrooms, 15 will be two-bedrooms, and the parking lot will have 63 spaces. This affordable housing project is perfect for downtown Royal Oak and will show that everyone is welcome in our city. Join us tonight to speak in favor of the project! More info on the agenda.
The building is accessible. Anyone planning to attend the meeting who has need of special assistance under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is asked to contact the city clerk’s office at 248-246-3050 at least two (2) business days prior to the meeting.
