Glasgow day of action for COP29: Build a better future
Start: Saturday, November 16, 2024•12:00 PM
End: Saturday, November 16, 2024• 1:30 PM

Join us for a fun, family-friendly protest for the COP29 day of action. Three years have passed since the COP26 climate talks happened in Glasgow and it has never been more important to speak up and demand action on climate change.
The impacts of climate change are accelerating, with worsening floods, droughts and extreme weather globally this year. Our governments have so far failed to take the action on climate change we need, with the UK government abandoning spending promises on climate change and the Scottish Government dropping its climate targets for 2030.
But there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic and climate justice campaigners are making some real progress right now. There are still many battles that we can and will win with people power. Join us on George Square to call out polluters, to call on our politicians to act, and to hear about amazing campaigns that are making real positive progress, campaigns that you can get involved in and support!
Featuring speakers from Insure our Survival, Parents for Future, Stop EACOP and Time to Divest, music from Protest in Harmony, dance from Discobedience Dancers, a block printing activity (bring your own T-shirt!) and more.
