Law in Action: From Global Courts to Frontline Communities in the Just Transition

Join us in a conversation with Dr. Clemens Kaupa (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Dr. Jason Rudall (Leiden University), and human rights lawyer Fadjar Schouten-Korwa on the pathways law has taken to support a just transition, and the role of lawyers in shaping these pathways. As the world moves toward decarbonization, the concept of a just transition challenges legal systems to address the legal implications of the climate crisis. Climate action increasingly take place in courts, both nationally and internationally. This panel explores how diverse areas of law, from international litigation and corporate accountability to community advocacy, contribute to shaping climate action.

In person space may run out; if all spots have filled, we welcome you to join us online! You can RSVP for the online event (including the 23 other presentations we have planned for our World's Longest Day of Action event) at this link.
