Hustings with a twist!

Community vibes - sharing food, listening to each other, engaging with the election.

Opening with food and a facilitated lively discussion, we will talk about the ways we want our democracy to look in the future and what we want from politicians in GM.

Then we will hear from the candidates. They'll be asked approximately 4 questions chosen by local community groups in advance on the topic of building a more people-powered future. We won't be able to take questions from the floor unfortunately. You'll also hear opening and closing statements where candidates will set out their vision.

Have your say on what a people-powered democracy should look like & engage with the candidates who want your vote to become GM Mayor.

Agenda:

6.30-7.30pm: free food alongside a fun & friendly debate about the future you want to see.

7.30-9pm: hear from each of the candidates. They’ll answer a set of questions about the topics we’ve discussed together.

9pm: wrap up and celebrate our collective power!
