Update! Our meeting location has changed from the Fletcher Free Library to the Waterfront park.

GMDSA's East and West branches will come together for another general meeting on Saturday, May 16th at 11:30 a.m. at The Waterfront Park (112 Lake St, Burlington, VT 05401, in front of Foam Brewery). Newcomers encouraged showing up at 10:30 a.m. for an optional “DSA 101” orientation.

We have a few important and exciting items on the agenda. First, we’ll be voting to elect an At-Large member to our Steering Committee for the remainder of the term. If you’d like to put forward a name—your own or someone else’s—before the meeting, please use this form.

Next, we’re thrilled to share that our endorsed socialist in office, Tanya Vyhovsky, is seeking re-endorsement from the chapter. We’ll read through their questionnaire responses together and take a vote.

And to close on a note of vision and energy, we’ll end with a reading from Emma Caterine of the Midwest Socialist: Building the General Strike. For those who want to go deeper, we’ve also paired it with an optional reading: Rosa Luxemburg’s The Mass Strike.
