At the Tuesday morning press event, we'll be releasing a letter from over 100 elected officials all over the the state urging Governor Hochul to stop Trump pipelines. Since a backdoor meeting with Trump back in March, Hochul has suggested she might approve new pipelines in New York, including previously defeated projects like the Williams NESE pipeline. These pipelines were wrong then and Trump trying to bully us into paying for more pollution doesn't change that fact now.

The Williams pipeline would run under the waters by the Rockaways and would mean higher utility bills, more pollution and more hardship for a region that is still recovering from the flooding and devastation following Hurricane Sandy.

We can't afford the Williams pipeline or any of the fossil fuel projects Trump is pushing for NY to adopt just his fossil fuel billionaires can make ever more massive profits. Governor Hochul must step up to Trump and stop his fracked gas pipelines, now!
