We’ll dive into how our transit systems, buildings, and energy grid can all play a role in making our communities healthy and sustainable—and how you can be part of the solution.

The interconnected crises of climate change and corporate greed affect all of us in Illinois. But as transit faces devastating cuts, energy costs rise, and buildings produce harmful pollution, Black, brown, and low-income communities are hit the hardest.

But there’s a way forward if we organize and act together. Join us to learn about three key initiatives that can help:

• Comprehensive public transit legislation that would invest $1.5 billion to make transit reliable, affordable, and sustainable for all.

• The Clean and Healthy Buildings Act would require utilities to transition to clean energy and ensure new buildings are powered by safe, clean appliances that don’t harm our health.

• The Clean Reliable Grid Affordability Act would prevent energy companies from unfairly raising bills and push investments in cleaner, more efficient energy.
