Join us for an in-person tour of the Greenspire Apartments, a NEWLY RENOVATED affordable housing community, designed for those 62 years old and/or disabled, qualified under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC). During the event, you will learn about the extensive renovations made to the community toward achieving 100% net carbon zero, meaning it will produce all its own energy from renewable sources, offsetting its current electrical demand.

Hosted by Sunny Side Development, Crown Court Properties, and Broihahn Management & Consulting this event will showcase our advanced energy grid, which features a 740 kW solar array installed on the rooftops of all six apartment buildings along with a tour of our four new bi-facial solar carports, including two timber-framed solar canopies from Couillard Solar Foundation, as well as battery backup systems, electric car charging stations, and permaculture installations.

The project funding was provided by WHEDA tax credits, FHLBank New York AHP, the USDA, and HUD’s Green and Resilient Retrofit Program, a part of the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.
