Harrow Green Party Monthly Members Meeting - November 2026
Start: Thursday, November 05, 2026•06:30 PM
Location: Julie Cook Community Hall• 12 Augustine Road, Harrow, HA3 5NW GB
This is a meeting open to all members of the Harrow Green Party. We'll be meeting from 6:30pm at the Julie Cook Community Hall, 12 Augustine Road, Harrow Weald, HA3 5NW. The meeting will last a maximum of two hours.
We will have a guest speaker at this meeting, Cllr Charli Thompson, who became Barnet's first ever elected Green Councillor earlier this year. Here's how she describes herself on her website:
I am a lifelong Barnet resident, a community campaigner and disability rights advocate. I have spent years working with local residents and grassroots campaigns on issues including adult social care, planning, communuity cohesion, saving public services and democratic participation.
I was elected on a promise to challenge politics as usual, strengthen transparency and scrutiny at Barnet Council, and build a more caring, participatory and community-led approach to local government.
As a disabled person and carer, I bring both lived and learned experience to my work and I am particularly passionate about tackling unmet community need, improving accessibility and ensuring all communities have a stronger voice in the decisions that affect our lives.
At this meeting we will also have a discussion about the "Zionism is Racism" motion which was recently passed at the Green Party conference. All members, whether they supported or opposed the motion, will be welcome to share their own viewpoints on this matter. For background reading, you may wish to read the "Zionism is Racism: Why it Matters" booklet prepared by Greens4Palestine which explains the rationale behind the motion.
We will send out a detailed agenda for this meeting nearer the date. The meeting will also be a forum for you to raise any other matters that you wish.
