Please join fellow Long Island DSA comrades in supporting this separate mutual aid organization feed the surrounding Long Island community!

Volunteers at 2pm and the food distribution starts at 3:30pm.

Community Solidarity was originally founded as LI Food Not Bombs in 2006 and has evolved to be more than just food. They feed over 11K people every week across 5 food shares, 41 pantries, and 8 community fridges. Food is a right. No one should go to bed hungry or have to choose between buying groceries, paying prescriptions, or affording rent.

We can help them sort and box up fresh fruits and vegetables, groceries, bread, and deserts. And then help distribute those boxes to anyone who shows up to the share that wants food.

Note: Community Solidarity is an apolitical org, but you are very much welcome (and encouraged) to show up wearing your favorite Long Island DSA t-shirt!
