A Special Invitation: Meet Third Act Founder Bill McKibben March 13 in West Hartford

The morning after his sold out presentation at the Connecticut Forum with former EPA Administrator Michael S. Regan, Third Act founder Bill McKibben will headline a special appearance just for Third Act Connecticut members.

The event will be conducted at The First Church of West Hartford, 12 South Main Street.

McKibben’s visit to Connecticut coincides with a national tour promoting his 20th book, “Here Comes the Sun.” It is described as “A last chance for the climate and a fresh chance for civilization.”

“We are excited to welcome Bill McKibben back to Connecticut to meet our Third Act members in the place our movement began three years ago,” said founder, the Rev. Dr. Davida Foy Crabtree. “Bill’s conversation with us then sparked many of our members to join, and some serve in leadership positions on the Coordinating Committee.”

“In the time since our founding, Third Act Connecticut has grown to more than 650 members and is recognized as an influential force for protecting the planet, and advocating for democracy and justice,” Dr. Foy Crabtree said.

Bill McKibben’s visit will serve as the March “All In” meeting, a rare “in person” program to enable “Third Actors” to meet other members and learn about ways to engage in environmental legislation at the state Capitol and other advocacy initiatives across Connecticut.
