HoCo Rise 4 Climate at National Drive Electric Week Celebration
Start: Saturday, September 08, 2018• 2:00 PM
End: Saturday, September 08, 2018• 5:00 PM
With the devastating flood in Ellicott City and the deadly heat waves, forest fires and storms across the country and around the world, it’s clear that the climate crisis is taking a toll already. We know what we need – clean energy, clean transportation, and a clean energy economy that provides jobs and justice for all – but they are not coming fast enough
We are a growing coalition of Howard County groups promoting solutions. Rise4Climate is collaborating with Clarksville Common’s National Drive Electric Week Celebration.
Indoor and outdoor activities include:
- Electric cars from local dealers & private citizens
- Local Environmental Groups
- Maryland Climate Leaders on real solutions
- Short movie clips from Reinventing Power
- On the plaza 3:00 - 4:30 - Great local musician Cletus Kennelly, who sings a song for solar and more
- Fun with a youth activity table - Columbia Parent in Nature/The Community Ecology Institute - making a Climate Ribbon and more
Together we’ll show the widespread public support and the action underway for a fossil free future.
