Halloween season is officially here and Hollywood Labor invites you to join us for a screening about the scariest thing of all: capitalism!

George Romero’s “Dawn of the Dead” follows a small band of survivors in a zombie apocalypse who find themselves trapped in a shopping mall where all the brain dead zombies revert to the ones thing they know how to do (besides eating brains): go shopping.

Romero expertly wields the zombie genre to critique how capitalism has become so ingrained in the American mind, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the Halloween season with a special screening of “Dawn of the Dead” at Whammy! Analog Media in Silverlake on Weds 10/29 at 7:00PM. Snacks and drinks will be provided so invite your friends, coworkers and comrades to this special VHS presentation of a horror classic.
