Talking about climate change is hard. Talking about it with our children is even harder!

Friends of the Earth have teamed up with Little Island Books and author Oisín McGann to make a book about climate change for young teens titled; 'A Short, Hopeful Guide to Climate Change'.

Stories and books are so important in expanding our minds and supporting us in reimagining the world. Books can also be really powerful tools in kick-starting important conversations.

Join us for a conversation about engaging young people on topic of climate change and how to take positive steps in taking action together.

It is our hope that this book will not only inform and inspire young people to join the vibrant climate movement in Ireland, but also help facilitate these tricky conversations between young people and their parents and teachers.

We will hear from author Oisín McGann about his motivation to write this book for young people and what gives him hope for the future. We'll also be joined by John Sharry, founder of Parents Plus, Chair of Feasta and advocate for positive mental health and wellbeing within the youth climate movement.

This webinar will be chaired by climate scientist and former Friends of the Earth Chair, Cara Augustenborg.

Plus special guest appearances from youth climate activists if they can take a break from their Christmas exam studies!
