Transit service, like housing, is essential. Measure RR is a small sales tax that will provide a long-needed source of dedicated funding for Caltrain. Due to steep declines in ridership during COVID, if Measure RR doesn't pass, we're at-risk of losing Caltrain service for years. In addition to causing increased traffic and pollution, Caltrain shutdown could also mean plans for transit-oriented housing development will be derailed.
