Housing Justice Futures: Omaha Forum on Race, Housing, and Policy

Start: Saturday, August 24, 202411:00 AM

As the City of Omaha begins to determine long-term community goals and aspirations regarding the Comprehensive Plan, Climate Action and Resilience Plan, alongside historic development in North Omaha, this forum is for community members to discuss the past, present, and future of housing and policy at the intersection of race. From Redlining and Blockbusting to Highway 75, Gentrification, and Bad Landlords you are invited to the conversation to discuss housing justice issues that are impacting you! This listening tour is hosted by the Redress Movement a newly formed nonprofit organization that empowers communities across the U.S. to take direct action to redress racial segregation.
