Third Act AZ gathers on Tuesday the 28th at 6pm. That’s one week after the Arizona primary. It also means we’re in the sprint to the November elections. While this election is called the “mid-terms”, it’s actually the Super Bowl for Arizona politics. Key races in Arizona will determine how we build a just and sustainable future for all Arizonans. Third Act members can play a role in how things are done, the policy generated, and the new laws that impact our local communities. That starts with “down ballot” races which will determine bills that get heard, issues that get debated, and policies sent to the Governor’s desk. Key legislative races for the House and Senate is where this is made possible. The Arizona Corporation Commission sets energy policy and rates. While we don’t have a chance for a majority, we do have a chance to get the discussion shifted toward renewable, cleaner energy. And several US Congressional races could be the bulwark to protecting our democracy. Learn how you can make a difference!

Tuesday the 28th we will be joined by Sandy Bahr, Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter, and Third Act AZ endorsed candidate for State Senator District-8, Lauren Kuby, They will share ideas on strategic steps we can take to make sure climate and democracy rise to the top of the conversation and policy stack. We will also have time for all of you to chat and share ideas and opportunities.
