This virtual training will review the necessary planning and facilitation skills to run successful meetings in DSA. The first hour will be dedicated to general meeting facilitation, important for all committees, campaigns, and initiatives across the organization. We will discuss agenda planning, guidelines for discussion, and tips to stay on task and orient members to action. The second hour will be dedicated to preparation of and facilitation for Political Education sessions. We will discuss the general principles of BuxMont DSA's Political Education curriculum, how to research and evaluate readings to assign, how to balance lecture and discussion, and other pedagogical principles.
