This is an event for anyone and everyone who wants to unite and grow the left in Newcastle ahead of the all-out May 2026 local elections and into the future.

You’ll hear from groups doing electoral organising, community organising and worker organising across Newcastle - from resisting the Rafael arms factory, to mutual aid to winning seats on the Council.

If you want to protect your community from racism, austerity, the climate crisis, and stop Reform at the ballot box - this event is for you.

You’ll hear from groups organising across the city, and go into breakout groups where you can hear more about what they do and see where your skills fit. You can even pick up a task there and then.

There will also be plenty of time to chat informally and get to know each other. We’re hoping to provide vegetarian food for everyone (and will confirm this soon).

Children welcome. Depending on demand, we may run a ‘childcare corner’ where volunteers with experience working with children run activities for children 4+. If you would use the childcare corner, email nclgreenparty@gmail.com by 4 Dec.
