UPDATE: New Time and New Location:

8am at Pepper Park, 3299 Tidelands Ave, National City, CA 91950

-----

Attention IBEW 569 Brothers and Sisters:

Join for a Drive-Thru Lit Drop election event to STOP the ANTI-UNION RECALL! We need your help to drop off materials to educate and empower voters and union households in South Bay!

WHAT: Labor & Building Trades Lit Drop to Stop the Anti-Union Recall

WHY: We know that politics can be confusing and upsetting. If we’re totally honest, we wish we could avoid this election. However, it has always been our priority to take action to put more IBEW 569 members to work, and we know we can’t sit this one out. Our union contracts, healthcare benefits, and pensions are under attack, and we are asking you to VOTE NO ON THE RECALL.

The anti-union candidates trying to replace Governor Newsom all share one thing in common: They have a long history of attacking prevailing wages and pensions. One of the leading replacement candidates, radio talk show host Larry Elder, even said there should be NO minimum wage!

California IBEW Local Unions, the California State Association of Electrical Workers, and the California Building Trades Council – are all unanimously against the Anti-Union Recall!

We need your help to STOP THE ANTI-UNION RECALL.

WHEN: Saturday, September 11th at 8:00AM

WHERE: Pepper Park 3299 Tidelands Ave, National City, CA 91950

WHAT: Volunteers will drive into the parking lot and receive their packets of addresses, door hangers and maps. Volunteers should wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunblock, and a mask for approaching households. Scripts will be available for members wanting to knock and talk.  Water + a snack + lunch and hand sanitizer will be provided.
