IBEW 569 Lit Drop with Friends of Building Trades & Labor (South Bay)

Start: Saturday, October 17, 2020 8:00 AM

Join us for a Drive-Thru Lit Drop election event to help elect friends of labor! We need your help to drop off materials to educate and empower voters in the South Bay!

WHAT: Building Trades Lit Drop with Friends of Labor

WHY: The Building Trades supports candidates and initiatives that support labor, working families, and the creation of more good-paying local construction jobs and apprenticeship opportunities.

WHEN: Saturday, October 17th at 8:00AM

WHERE: San Diego Electric Railway, 922 W 23rd St, National City, CA 91950

WHAT: Volunteers will drive into the parking lot and receive their packets of addresses, door hangers and maps. Volunteers should wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunblock, and a mask for approaching households. We will not be knocking on doors.

Questions or to RSVP, contact Gretchen Newsom: 619-208-4853 (cell) | gnewsom@ibew569.org.
Coordinators wearing masks will be stationed in the parking lot ready to hand you your instructions and materials through your car window.

You will be dropping off lit with information about candidates that support labor at every door. Please skip the house if someone is in the yard.

As you approach a voter's door, you must cover your nose and mouth with your mask when walking on a voter’s property. If you refuse or are unable to do so, we cannot allow you to volunteer for this activity. We appreciate your support and encourage you to join one of our other volunteer activities.

Things you should bring:
Mask (Required)
Gloves (optional)
Comfortable walking shoes.
A pen (if you choose to use the printed sheets).
A fully-charged phone.
Excitement to vote #UnionStrong!
Water + a snack + lunch and hand sanitizer will be provided.
Thank you so much for your support!
