ICE OUT Informational Picket with FUN PDX
Start: Wednesday, July 30, 2025•04:30 PM

The Trump administration and ICE have been targeting the most vulnerable people in our society at their own workplaces and in ours. Our workplaces have become sites of unwarranted arrests, where immigrant workers are being taken from their families and detained in inhumane conditions. As federal workers witnessing these abuses, we’ve been asked to look the other way. We will not. Federal Unionists are organizing informational pickets on Wednesday, July 30th and we invite you to join us.
Federal unionists are calling for:
- An end to ICE raids and arrests in all workplaces.
- Federal buildings made safe and accessible for all.
- Protection for those seeking government services and the workers who serve them.
- Due process for all and an end to expedited removals.
This action is a direct response to the humanitarian crisis that the Trump administration's abuse of its immigration enforcement authority has created inside federal buildings. As federal workers, we demand ICE out of our workplace and out of all workplaces!
Every day, people are kidnapped by ICE while attending regular court visits. People have been detained for days in overcrowded and unsafe conditions. In addition to feeling distressed and traumatized by these arrests and detainments, these unwarranted attacks on immigrants have left many federal workers feeling unsafe in our workplaces. Some of us have been racially profiled and harassed by ICE, pushed and shoved, forced out of elevators, followed outside of buildings and forced to prove their federal employment to ICE. This is unacceptable.
All people are entitled to feel safe in public buildings, as sites where critical services are delivered. Nationwide, ICE workplace raids have been drastically increasing in frequency and force. Immigrants are the backbone of our unions and the labor movement. And, with the targeted arrest of David Huerta, president of the Service Employees International Union - United Service Workers West (SEIU-USWW), we know that union voices matter now more than ever. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us and we will not be silent.
Please join us on July 30th to demand an immediate end to these raids, inhumane conditions, and that ICE be removed from all workplaces!
