In honor of the late Marxist Historian Michael Parenti, join Inland Empire DSA in watching the classic 1986 lecture: "US interventionism, the 3rd world, and the USSR(1986)", or colloquially known as the Yellow Parenti lecture.
"These countries are not underdeveloped; they're overexploited", still rings true when looking at the conditions of the global south today.  Parenti explains topics passionately and with an approachable simplicity that makes this lecture a must watch for those getting introduced to socialist concepts, as well as a wonderful refresher for those who have already read his work.

Join IE DSA’s Political Education Working Group for an intro-level viewing and discussion on Michael Parenti's lecture. We’ll break down the lecture, it's relevance today, and why it still matters for working people here in the Inland Empire and around the world.
