In It Together is a public conversation series featuring one-on-one dialogues with movement and public interest lawyers on the front lines of change. These candid conversations center not just strategy and struggle, but joy, solidarity, and what sustains us in the work. Designed for lawyers in the thick of it and for law students entering a profession in crisis, the series offers perspective, practical guidance, and a reminder that no one fights alone. It’s a space to reflect, to reconnect with purpose, and to build the community we need to keep going.
For our first event, we are so happy to be joined by public defender and Hartford, CT city councilor Joshua Michtom for a conversation about the importance of community connection in both pro-people legal work and organizing more broadly. The discussion will include a moderated conversation and Q&A, and the event is open to all. We hope to see you there!
