Calling all farms in the Central Sierra Foothills!
Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) and MacKenzie Patton with UC Cooperative Extension invite you to an informational session to learn more about CAFF, and the support we provide to family farmers in California. CAFF's services encompass farm to market, ecological farming and pest management, food safety, organic certification, small-farm technology, policy advocacy, and more. In addition, the El Dorado Economic Generator and Germination (OurEGG) will share about their roadmap for agricultural and rural development in the area. Join us to explore available resources and build connections with other farmers in the region!
We will also talk about an upcoming project we are launching in the Central Sierra Foothills region focused on sustainable pest management in stone fruit crops. Through incentivized farmer-led trials, this project will provide growers with opportunities to trial alternative practices with reduced financial risk and technical support while fostering co-learning in regional cohorts. Join the informational session to learn more and sign up if interested!
Coffee and snacks will be provided.
