Don Taylor from the UW-School for Workers will be presenting a day long Internal Organizing Seminar at the Milwaukee Area Labor Council. This quality School for Workers educational event is FREE to attend.
What could greater membership involvement mean for
your union: better communication, better problem
solving, better contracts? Whether you are a union leader
or a rank-and-file member, if you want to learn how to
grow the strength of your union through increased
engagement this class is for you. While the concepts
apply to everyone, this class should be of particular
interest to public sector workers who are preparing for
what comes next with Act 10.
You will learn about:
*Breaking down apathy
*Identifying new activists
*Organizers' tools that every member can use
*Developing a plan for internal organizing
*Activities that increase collective strength
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
