Who are Extinction Rebellion (XR) and what drives us? Join this introductory session to find out:
- Why XR began
- The scale of the climate and nature emergencies and what needs to be done
- Why we use nonviolent direct action
- Our principles and values
- How we organise
- Our demands
- Our current strategy
The talk takes 1 and a quarter hours, after which there are 15 minutes for questions and discussion. The format is live video call using Zoom. If you haven’t used Zoom before, check out this short video.
If you're under 18, you're very welcome to join the session. However, you must have someone with you who is 18 or over and prepared to be on camera.
