In this two-part introduction to the craft of Community Organising for community leaders, we will be covering:

  1. What is Community Organising?
  2. Power
  3. Self-interest
  4. Leadership
  5. Cycle of action

We will also reflect on how Community Organising is different from 'charity' in that it focuses on fixing problems, rather than 'applying plasters on wounds'.

We will also discuss what is beginning to happen across Oxford, as a range of civil society institutions are coming together to establish an Oxford Citizens alliance.
