This session is designed for commissioners and social workers who want to better understand how Newcastle has developed and embedded its Individual Service Funds (ISF) offer. It will focus on practical, real-world learning from Newcastle’s journey — what has worked well, the key enablers that supported implementation, and the challenges and lessons learned along the way.
Marta Rzepecki, Commissioning and Procurement Officer at Newcastle City Council, will share insights from Newcastle’s practice, including top tips that other local authorities can apply in their own areas. The session will also explore how councils can use this learning to grow the number of people supported through Individual Service Funds and strengthen person-centered, flexible approaches to care and support.
There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion, questions, and shared learning with peers.
