Dear Brothers and Sisters,

After the exciting outbreak of protests for the principle Black Lives Matter, after two officers were killed in a tragic shooting, the city is now confronted by a political backlash against reform. This is just one of the points to be taken up at the Left Labor Party working meeting on Jan. 6. The fight for good green jobs and for immigrant rights, are moving into higher gear, with the participation of NYC unions. The Moral Mondays movement is coming to New York in January, and planning for May Day 2015 is about to get underway.

The challenge for us is to define LLP's role in helping to build and unite these movements both as individual activists, and collectively as an organization through our forums and additional activities.
