Join the Ghost Hunt - Oxfordshire
Start: Sunday, July 06, 2025•02:00 PM
End: Sunday, July 06, 2025•05:00 PM
Join the Ghost Hunt and call on Forestry England to restore our lost ancient woodlands!
Ancient woodlands are vanishing – and with them, some of our most loved and endangered wildlife. Forestry England manages over 100,000 acres of land that used to be ancient woodland - that’s bigger than the Isle of Wight. But instead of flourishing as rich, native forest, much of it has been turned into sterile plantations of fast-growing, non-native trees – choking out the life that once thrived there.
We're gathering to put pressure on Forestry England to manage this publicly owned land for the public good, by showing that local communities care about restoring nature in their woodlands.
This day will be a mix of citizen science, nature connection, art and protest. You don't need to have any experience to come - just a love for ancient woodlands!
