Law Students for Climate Accountability is excited to announce the launch of our 2026 Law Firm Climate Change Scorecard! Produced by law students in Amsterdam and across the US and UK, this report comes on the heels of the first Fossil Fuel Phase Out Conference in Santa Marta and focuses on the role of lawyers in stalling the phasing out of fossil fuels. From lobbying to litigation to transactions, lawyers are involved in every level of extraction, but their role is often invisible. The Scorecard serves as a unique resource for students, lawyers, and advocates seeking to understand how the most powerful law firms in the world engage in fossil fuels work.

Join us as we discuss the state of the industry and what it means to fulfill our obligation to the administration of justice in a world that has passed the 1.5° degree warming threshold set as a target in the Paris Agreement.
