Hello friends,

This call includes a broad overview of DSA nationally, our organization's theory of change, and a detailed look into the Denver local and it's various campaigns & committees. The average orientation runs just over one hour; and the content is full of detailed information about how our chapter operates, contains resources for you to engage with, and ends with a Q&A.

As organizers who were previously brand new members ourselves, we recognize that DSA can be a confusing space to engage with at first. We have found that it can occasionally be helpful to think of DSA as a "choose-your-own-adventure" organization. We do our best to provide you with some basic first steps, a couple resources, and spaces to engage — but you're always in the driver's seat. As you begin your journey in DSA, we encourage you to lean into the energy that initially pushed you to become a member, it might take a little while but it'll be worth it.
