Greetings Rebels,

After a magnificent outcome for people-power at the federal election, there's now a slight pause to see what direction the new Green/Teals/Labor government takes. Meanwhile, it's time to turn our attention to the destructive projects that are happening in our own backyard and the failures of the Victorian Labor government. There will be a state election on 26 November and that provides a perfect opportunity to apply pressure in the coming months.

Last March and April, the Just Stop It! Campaign mobilised over 100 people and carried out blockades of fuel terminals in Melbourne for a full week. Later this year, however, we plan on dwarfing these efforts, mobilising hundreds of people to carry out disruptive actions in the name of a livable future all over the state. Let's get to work on phase 2 of Just Stop It and stop the proposed new Victorian gas projects in their tracks. We can also broaden our focus to include destructive logging projects - and the proposed third runway at Tulllamarine.

But we need your help to do it. Get involved on the ground floor of the next phase by joining us for a full day of theorising and strategising. The day will be held in two sessions, with the morning covering our political, strategic and tactical approach to the new campaign, and the afternoon devoted to that most vital of tasks: mobilising. How do we mobilise hundreds of people to take non-violent direct action in the upcoming months? We've got some ideas, and we want to hear yours.

Tempting as it may be to rest on our laurels after such a smashing victory for progressive forces last weekend, the time to press forward and make some real gains in the fight for our future is now. Join us!
