If any of this apply to you, you should consider attending Sunrise Ithaca's Justice50 Community Meeting on Saturday, February 3rd in the gym of the Southside Community Center from 3 to 5pm. Everyone is welcome, regardless of prior knowledge or experience with the topics of discussion. Justice50 is a proposal that seeks to make sure that the benefits of the Ithaca Green New Deal are shared among all communities in Ithaca and that BIPOC, low-income, disabled and other disadvantaged communities are prioritized. It's gaining momentum within city government and if we push for it, we can see it succeed. We'll be coming together to learn about the Ithaca Green New Deal and Justice50, discuss how these issues affect us and our communities and talk about the change we want to see and how we can work together to bring it about.
