Join us for our third La Plaza COLOR, a bilingual (English/Spanish) community space where we come together to understand what’s happening in Colorado and what we can do about it.

As the legislative session is in full swing, many big decisions are being made, especially around our state budget and access to health care. In this session, we’ll break things down in an accessible, real way and connect the dots between policy decisions and civic engagement.

Together, we will:

• Share updates and reflect on how legislators have responded to our community priorities

• Talk about what’s at stake in the budget and what people may not be seeing

• Understand who holds power (including the Governor) and what happens after session ends

• Begin preparing for what’s next: upcoming elections and how they shape our communities

Most importantly, we’ll focus on what we can still do without overwhelm. This space is about building clarity, sharing experiences, and creating momentum together.

This is a single, shared space for English and Spanish speakers, designed for all levels, whether you’re brand new or have been organizing with us for a while.

Únase a nosotros en nuestra tercera, La Plaza COLOR, un espacio comunitario bilingüe donde podemos unirnos para entender lo que está pasando en Colorado y qué podemos hacer.

La sesión legislativa está en pleno movimiento; muchas decisiones grandes han sido decididas, especialmente sobre el presupuesto del Estado y el acceso a la salud. En esta sesión, vamos a simplificar de manera accesible y real y conectar los puntos entre las decisiones políticas y el compromiso cívico.

Juntos:

• Compartiremos actualizaciones y reflexionaremos sobre cómo legisladores han respondido a prioridades comunitarias

• Hablar sobre lo que está en riesgo en el presupuesto y que la gente pueda no estar viendo

• Entender sobre quién tiene el poder (incluyendo el gobernador) y sobre lo que pasa después que esta sesión termine

• Comenzar a preparar por lo que sigue: próximas elecciones y cómo forman nuestras comunidades

Pero, más importante, nos enfocaremos en lo que se puede hacer sin abrumarnos. Este espacio es para crear claridad, compartir experiencias y generar impulso juntos.
