Labor and Allies Solidarity Night at the KC for Unionizing Workers!

Start: Thursday, May 29, 202507:00 PM

Kennedy Center workers have formed a union - KC United Arts Workers. They've done the hard work and have a big certification election ahead of them - now its time for the DC community to show our support for them!

Join us May 29 for a performance of Porgy and Bess. Come at 7pm, buy a drink in the Grand Foyer before curtain goes up at 7:30pm.

Tickets start at $45. You can reserve your tickets through the Kennedy Center box office or call them at (202) 467-4600. RSVPing here just gives us a head count!

  • We are asking all in the labor movement to wear their union swag. T-shirts are perfect!
  • Workers are asking the rest of the patrons to wear RED

Patrons for the Kennedy Center, is a grassroots group of locals standing up for the workers, artists, and values that make the KC. Its strength was being a nonpartisan institution where we could all come together for a shared experience. President Trump undermined that, appointing himself as chair, and fired staff over artistic choices. Let's support these brave workers who dare to defy in the best way possible, through collective power.

We wholeheartedly endorse this unionizing effort and want to do everything in our power to help the workers. As the workers fight inside, we will be their strongest advocates outside.
