Lahaina Strong Community Mālama ʻĀina Day February 2026

Start: Saturday, February 28, 202608:30 AM

End: Saturday, February 28, 202612:00 PM

Lahaina Strong is committing to Mālama ʻĀina Days for the entire year. Starting Saturday, February 28, we’ll be gathering on the last weekend of every month as a way to come together as a community and take care of our public spaces. Our first ʻĀina Day will be a small one. A couple hours cleaning up Mala Beach. We’ll provide water, trash pickers, bags, and gloves. Just come down and help mālama a space that is so dear to our community. While we’re there, we’ll also be walking the area and building the game plan for our next Mālama ʻĀina Day on March 28, which will be a larger-scale cleanup and restoration effort at Mala, including invasive clearing and planting native plants. Sometimes these days will be at a beach. Sometimes a park. Sometimes a highway or another place that needs some love. If you know a spot that could use care, let us know. It just might become one of our next Mālama ʻĀina Days. We’re starting small, staying consistent, and building this together. See you at Mala.
