Equinor, Rosebank’s majority owner, has just re-submitted its application to develop the field. Our government will decide whether to approve it after a 30-day public consultation, kicking off any day now. We can’t let this go ahead. Because…
Rosebank is a carbon bomb. As the largest undeveloped oil field in the North Sea, it would create more emissions than the 700 million people living in the world’s poorest countries produce in a year.
Rosebank would give millions to companies fuelling genocide. It’s co-owned by Ithaca, whose parent company Israeli Delek Energy provides fuel to the IDF, and operates in illegal settlements in the West Bank. They’d get £253 million in profits from Rosebank.
