Local elections in England, Wales and Scotland are coming in May 2026 — and Latin American communities across the country have a stake in the outcome.

Join CLAUK (Coalition of Latin Americans in the UK) for a free civic engagement evening with elected Latin American representatives and candidates. Whether you're already registered to vote, unsure if you're eligible, or just want to understand how local government affects your daily life — this event is for you.

What we'll cover:

• Who can vote in UK local elections
• How to register and what to expect from the 2026 elections
• What local authorities do — and why it matters for our communities
• A conversation with Latin American voices in British politics

Confirmed speakers:

• María Linforth-Hall — St George ward councillor, Liberal Democrats, Southwark Council
• Claudia Turbet-Delof — Victoria ward councillor, Hackney Independent Socialist Group, Hackney Council

The event will be conducted in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
