Data centers are moving into Illinois—and they are using a massive amount of our electricity and water. Join Clean Power Lake County, Vote Solar, and Sierra Club on Thursday, October 1st, to learn how these giant computer warehouses impact our community.
We will explain exactly what these facilities are and how we are fighting for new laws to put guardrails on their growth. Our goal is to make sure these projects don't drive up your bills or harm our environment.
What we will cover
-
The basics: A simple look at how data centers work.
-
Local impacts: How they affect our air, water, and power grid.
-
Stronger protections: How CPLC is advocating for rules that put people first.
