Little Yellow, Oakland <-> Alameda Ferry Launch Party!

Start: Wednesday, July 17, 2024 5:30 PM

End: Wednesday, July 17, 2024 7:00 PM

Come celebrate this historic NEW CONNECTION between Oakland and Alameda -"the Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle" aka the Little Yellow Ferry. The water shuttle is a new, free connection between Oakland's famous Jack London Square and Western Alameda and service starts on July 17th.

Join the Transbay Coalition, Bay Area Makerfarm, and Traffic Violence Rapid Response for an evening of community fun, food, and games to mark the occasion!

This trans-estuary celebration will be on both sides of the shuttle. We'll be gathering at:
  • Jack London Square (Near the Jack London Statue by Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar at the foot of Broadway)
  • Bohol Circle Immigrant Park, Public Dock, 687 Sentinel Dr, Alameda
And of course, we'll be celebrating on "Woodstock," the Little Yellow Ferry, itself. The ferry goes between Oakland and Alameda multiple times per hour and the trip takes a few minutes.

Bring your friends, family, and if you want-- a craft, gift, or talent to share with others at this event celebrating the connection between our communities.
