Join us for a screening and discussion of Living Along the Fenceline (2011), a film featuring seven women reflecting on life near U.S. military bases around the world.
From protests against missile installations to concerns about pollution, safety, and constant military exercises, Koreans have repeatedly spoken out against expanding U.S. militarism on the peninsula, only to be ignored by the US and south Korean government.
Living Along the Fenceline connects struggles across the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Guam, Japan, and Hawaiʻi, where communities living alongside U.S. bases face similar harms and are organizing for dignity, safety, and self-determination. Come watch, learn, and discuss how these struggles are connected on Friday, April 3rd!
