There is no workforce in the state of Washington that has more at stake in decisions made by the Legislature. The Legislature has control over our wages, benefits, and pensions. They adopt a state budget that determines the funding level for the services we provide. Every year they consider countless bills that can have an impact on everything from our working conditions to our job security.

We are the experts. We can tell the story about how we serve the public everyday, about the resources we need to be able to provide these critical services, and about the importance of being able to recruit and retain high-quality workforce. Attending a lobby day is a great way to get engaged with your local Legislator's, their office staff and effectively advocate for:

• Alternatives to painful cuts
• A vision for adequately funded jobs and services
• A fair revenue system where those who are profiting from the pandemic contribute their fair share
