Local 5621 Training: Violence Prevention in Healthcare – April 9, 2024

Local 5621 is offering an opportunity to earn 2.0 contact hours while enjoying a complimentary dinner on April 9th at the Riverwinds Restaurant, 1075 Riverwinds Drive in West Deptford, NJ.  

Enjoy a night with your co-workers and union friends while engaging in education and dinner as well as membership updates. Doors will open at 5:15 and the program will be from 6-8 pm.

We will welcome a very engaging speaker Cecelia Gilligan Leto to present this workshop – Violence Prevention in Healthcare. The presentation reviews risk factors and the unprecedented extent of workplace violence in healthcare. Participants will gain information to identify risks, strategies to respond to violent episodes, and the elements of effective violence prevention programs in their facilities.

ACCREDITED PROVIDER: American Federation of Teachers/Nurses and Health Professionals is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. P#0003.

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION: The learner must attend 100 percent of each chosen session. After the learner has completed all of his or her chosen sessions, a certificate of attendance, program evaluation/survey must be completed and returned to the provider.

CONTACT HOURS: If applicable; contact hours awarded 100% of activity; or missing no more than 10 minutes of activity; attendee with a successful completion (noted above) will be awarded contact hours.
